John was fed up. He’d tried everything from shackling him to a chair to trying to run him around London so he’d get tired, but now was time for drastic measures. John approached the detective playing his violin slowly, with the necklace of flowers in his hands. Silently counting, 1, 2, 3, in his head, he pounced; he quickly threw the lei around Sherlock’s neck.

John didn’t know what to expect. Would Sherlock lash out? Would he simply stop playing the violin? Would he make a snarky remark and continue? Braced for the worst, John closed his eyes tightly and marched backwards a few steps.

What he wasn’t expecting was a thud as the consulting detective fell to the ground, his violin aside him, his eyes staring straight at the ceiling. John chuckled.
